It has been awhile since I've written something. Today, I am inspired so I'll write a few things. First of all, I hope you are enjoying your holidays. 'Tis a season to be QE-JOLLY. It really has been a fantastic holiday season.
I just want to say that I love haters. They are the little bitches that keep whining. They remind me that there are still people out there that I can steal money from. Every time I profit from my trades, I think of my haters becoming more and more bankrupt.
The one thing that the world is getting good at is whining. Everyone whines, everyone bitches about everyone else. No one seems to take into consideration the word accountability. Why would they? In a world of blameless self-admiration, there would be no need to feel responsible for things you do.
What have I learned in 2013? Nothing really. The markets continue to be as they are and that every talking head on the financial news networks are absolutely clueless and outright useless. If any, use the pundits as entertainment pieces - that's truly what they are good for. Predicting the markets is like predicting the weather. These two things should be interconnected.
What to expect for 2014? More of the same. I do not have a crystal ball. I also am not the son of Lloyd Blankfein or Jamie Dimon so I would not know where the big boys want to take the markets. However, this is what makes the markets that much more exciting! It allows us to find our own pieces of reality and take action on them. If the markets go our way, we make money. If they don't, we are none the wiser.
I approach every new year with the same pragmatism that I do with my life. I can prepare for as much eventuality that I can but I have to allow for any unforeseen risks.
In the end, the man who has the courage of conviction and acts upon his best plans is better than the man who sits on his hands, scared to do anything. Inaction leads to nothing. Action and courage lead to progress.
Whatever you decide for 2014, may you find what you are looking for and may the odds be in your favor!
Happy New Year!
